MR. MORIO KURATA, 80, Seattle, WA born Nisei, resident of Lomita, passed away on June 19, at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 26, at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena, under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.
He is survived by his wife, Yoshiko; son, James Kurata; daughters, Irene Kurata, Connie (Vincent) Perez and Romy (Dean) Kanemitsu; grandchildren, Kyle and Kendal Kurata, Stacy and Steven Perez, Marisa, Niki and Kelly Kanemitsu; brothers, Yoshio, Tsutomu (Masako) and Yasuo (Satoko) Kurata; sisters, Miyoko Shimahara and Toshiko Yamamoto; many nephews and nieces.
