Miyoshi Mishima was born on July 13, 1926, in Los Angeles, California. She passed away peacefully at her residence in Los Angeles, surrounded by her family on August 1, 2024.

Miyoshi married Taro Mishima on July 18, 1954. Miyoshi and her husband Taro were the long-time proprietors of Asahi Nursery in West Los Angeles.

Miyoshi was a kind, caring woman with a pure heart, who is truly loved and will be dearly missed. She loved traveling the world, tending to her garden, and making gifts for her family and friends.

She now joins her loving husband of 69 years Taro. She is survived by sons, Steve and Scott Mishima; daughter, Sharon Mishima, sister Atsu Nakaki and many nieces and nephews.

The immediate family would like to express their thanks for your prayers and many great heartwarming memories.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday August 29, at 11 a.m. at West Los Angeles United Methodist Church, 1913 Purdue Ave. in Los Angeles.

In lieu of flowers and koden, the family requests donations to be made to your favorite charity
