Obituary
Miyeko "Mac" Iwataki, loving mom and grandmother, retired regional Vice President for Minority Business for Bank of America, passed away on January 5, 2013 at the age of 91 years. She was active over 50 years with Tuesday Niters and volunteered with St. Mary's Episcopal Church, WLA United Methodist Church and Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple.
She is survived by her son, Greg Iwataki and daughter, Patti Iwasaki; her three grandchildren, Kai A. Iwasaki, Nicholas Darmstaedter, and Reed S. Iwasaki; sister, Fumi Yoshizaki and 14 nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 11 a.m. at West Los Angeles United Methodist Church, 1913 Purdue Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90025. Burial service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Japanese American
National Museum or St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Miyeko's memory.
