Private family funeral services for the late Mitsuko Shinmei, 96-year-old, Fresno, CA born, resident of Irvine, who passed away peacefully on July 20, 2018 were held on September 15, at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rimban William Briones of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.

She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Irene (Bruce) Hasegawa; sons, Cliff (Janis) and Victor Shinmei; grandchildren, Brandon (Ada) Hasegawa, Trisha (Jeff) Chu, Grant and Robert Shinmei; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Braydon Hasegawa; sister, Kiyoko Kusunoki; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
