Funeral services for the late Mrs. Mitsuko Nakashima, an 83-year-old Japan-born Issei resident of Gardena who passed away on June 3, 2012 were held privately at Gardena Buddhist Temple, officiated by Rev. Nobuo Miyaji with Rev. Chuho Matsubayashi participating.

Mrs, Nakashima is survived by her sons, Terry Teruo (Taeko) and James Seiji (Yoshiko) Nalashima; daughter Doris Midori (Yuzo) Ito; grandsons, Edward and Richard Nakashima and Daichi and Hiromasa Ito; granddaughters, Christine and Diane Nakashima. Also survived by six siblings and many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
