Obituary
Under the auspices of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, funeral service for MITSUKO KAWAGUCHI, 87, a Seattle born Nisei who passed away on January 21 at her residence in Monterey Park, will be held on Friday, February 1, 1:00 PM at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 East 1st St., L.A., under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.
In lieu of koden, the family requests that contributions be made to the Kawaguchi-Kihara Memorial Foundation, 411 Center Street, L.A., CA 90012.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Suzette) Kawaguchi; daughters, Mirei (Dr. Takumi) Kagawa and Mayumi (Dr. Wilson) Morishita; grandchildren, Lauren and Jonathan Kawaguchi and Jennifer and Nicki Morishita; sisters-in-law, Yaeko Kihara of Seattle, Mizue Kawaguchi and Katsuko (Bill) Shimamoto and other relatives.
