Funeral service for the late Misao Hishinuma, a 90-year-old Hawaii-born Nisei resident of Los Angeles who passed away on September 19, 2011 at her residence was held on Sunday, September 25 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rev. Yutaka Tanabe of Mission Valley FreeMethodist Church officiating.

She is surived by her husband, Minory Hishinuma; daughters, Lillian (Larry) Fujimoto and Marian "Amy" Hishinuma; sons, James (Keiko) and Brian (Mary Anne) Hishinuma; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Kimiko Yokoe; brothers, Francis (Janet) and John (Betsy) Yokoe; also many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
