IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Minoru
Nishimura
July 15, 1926 – April 26, 2017
1926 – 2017
The family of Minoru Nishimura is sad to announce his passing on April 26, 2017. He was 90 years old and lived a long and happy life, especially because he got to know his granddaughters Kiana and Keira. Born in Hollywood to Chito and Eijiro Nishimura, who emigrated from Japan, "Mino" was the third of four siblings that included Ayako, Sakae and Tamotsu. During World War II, he and his family were incarcerated at Heart Mountain, Wyoming, and thereafter he honorably served in the U.S. Army in Japan. In 1950, he married his childhood sweetheart, Tokiko, and they raised Larry, Nanci and Darin. Mino was a good man who loved his family above all else. Visitation will be May 12 from 10-12 at Fukui Mortuary, 707 E. Temple Street, LA 90012. 9:00 AM burial at Rose Hills. On May 13, friends and family are invited to the Minoru Nishimura Memorial Luncheon in the Japanese Garden at Cal State Long Beach. Go to Eventbrite for details.
