A private memorial service for Minoru Nishida, 90-year old, resident of San Fernando, who passed away on Dec. 31, 2014, was held on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rev. Patricia Usuki of San Fernando Valley Buddhist Temple officiating. He is survived by his wife, Sayoko Nishida; son Gary (Pam) Nishida; grandchildren Michael and Kristi Nishida; sister Atsuko Ota; nephew Gene Ota; sisters (Yamaguchi, Japan) Misao Ueda, Emiko Dezaki, Sumie Koyangi, Setsuko Tanaka; brothers-in-law, Henry (Helen) Yasuda, Bill (Kaz) Yasuda, James (Margaret) Yasuda; sisters-in-law, Kaz Yasuda, Betty (Ken) Murata; many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
