Funeral services for the late Minnie Taketa, 84-year-old Santa Clara-born Nisei resident of Gardena who passed away on December 30 at Kaiser Hospital in Harbor City, will be held on Friday, January 6, with Visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass from 10 a.m., both at Maryknoll Japanese Catholic Center St. Francis Xavier Chapel, 222 S. Hewitt St., L.A., CA. under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.

She is survived by her husband, George J. Taketa; son, Anthony Joji (Sheriese) Taketa; grandchildren, Kristen and Audrey Taketa; brother, Dan Ono; and sister, Yae Ono.
