Private memorial services for the late Miyako "Mimi" Yamashita, 87-year-old resident of West Covina, who passed away on May 18, 2007, were held on Thursday, May 24 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden".

She is survived by her son, Glen Yamashita; daughters, Gail Yamashita and Aimee (Walter) Fujinami; grandsons, Kenny (Donna) and Scott Kimura, and Nathan Balderrama; granddaughter, Nicole Balderrama; sister, Matsy (Tamo) Isozaki; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
