Family funeral services for the late Mr. Mike Minoru Takimoto were held privately at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California, officiated by Rimban William Briones of Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.



Mr. Takimoto was an 82 year-old Terminal Island, California born, Kibei-Nisei and resident of Irvine. His parents, Nobutaro and Tome Takimoto, were from Nachi-Katsuura Town in Wakayama, Japan.



Mr. Takimoto is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Shigeko; daughters, Janice Misako Takimoto, Connie (John) Bartlett and Grace Chie Takimoto; grandchildren: Christina Ai, Brandon Minoru, Traci Mika, Alexis Jun and Tyler Makoto. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends both here and in Japan, and his dog, Chibi.
