Private Service for the late Mieko Kawakami, resident of Monterey Park, passed away on September 15th. She was born in Hiroshima, Japan and had just turned 73 years old.
A private service was held on September 26th at Evergreen Cemetery, officiated by Bishop Asahi of Koyasan Buddhist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Hideharu, son James, daughter Naomi, grandsons Ryan and Jordan and relatives both here and in Japan.
