Private family funeral services for Michiye Matsuishi, 89-year-old, Honolulu-born resident of Los Angeles, were held on April 22 at Gardena Buddhist Church under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.

She passed away of a heart attack on April 14 at the Keiro Nusing Home. A long-time resident of the Coachella Valley and Torrance, she is survived by her children, Dr. Richard Matsuishi (Peggy), Agness Matsuishi Yoshikawa (Dr. Ken - deceased), Dr. Edward Matsuishi (Beverly), Ronald Matsuishi (Yae), Anna Matsuishi Pattison (Dr. Gordon); nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
