A Celebration of Life Gathering for Mr. Michael Makoto Morishita, a 91-year-old Honolulu, Hawaii-born Nisei resident of Harbor City and a veteran of the US Army who honorably served his country during WWII and who passed away on January 29, 2014 will be held on February 21, 2014. Visitation open from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012. The family respectfully requests that flowers be omitted.


Predeceased by his beloved wife of 40 years, Nora Kikue Morishita. Mr. Morishita is survived by his sons, Gary (Nancy) and Robin (Susan) Morishita; devoted grandfather of Mischa, Tadashi and Mallory Morishita; brother of Joyce Sato of Hawaii. Also survived by many other relatives both here and in Hawaii.
