Funeral service for Melvin Takeyoshi Okamoto, 87-year-old Hawaii born
resident of Los Angeles who passed away on Jan. 21, 2016 at Olympia Medical Center, will be held on Sat. Feb. 6 at 10:30 AM at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena.
He is survived by his children, Glenn Okamoto, Nancy (Richard) Yamasaki, Kevin (Coleen) Okamoto and Kris (Eric) Tsuchimoto; grandchildren, Thomas Tsuchimoto, Travis Tsuchimoto, Paityn Yamasaki, Makena Okamoto and Kennedy Okamoto; sister, Ellen (Hideo) Oshima; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
