Funeral services for the late Mr. Melvin Kazuto Hashimoto, a 72-year-old Puhi, Kauai, Hawaii-born Sansei resident of Los Angeles who honorably served in the US Army and who was a proud member of Ironworker Union Local 433, who passed away on January 12, 2014 will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2014, 2:00 PM at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden," 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012, officiated by Bishop Taisen Miyata of Koyasan Buddhist Temple.
Mr. Hashimoto was predeceased by his beloved wife, Martha Masae. Proud father of Terry Mutsue, Stuart Masato (Gabriela) and Lynn Kazue (Brian Roberts) Hashimoto of WA; devoted grandfather of Shayna Ame Garcia, Anthony Kazuto, Mateo Masato and Nicolas Toji Hashimoto, and Peyton Masae Roberts of WA; brother of Elaine Sadako (Lawrence) Kashiwabara of HI, Alvin Saichi (Dorothy) Hashimoto of NV, Eileen Sachiko (Wilfred) Shimomura of HI, Marlene Mitsuko (Herb) Lum, and Leslie Mitsuo (Margaret) Hashimoto of HI. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
