May Yamahata, 100-year-old, Los Angeles-born, resident of Sierra Madre peacefully passed away at the British Home on November 22, 2025.   She was predeceased by her loving husband, Kyu Yamahata, son, Kennith "Ken" Yamahata; She is survived by her loving family; sons, Wayne (Janet), David (Helen), and Alan Yamahata; eight grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Celebration of Life service will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 South Central Avenue, Los Angeles, on Saturday, January 10 at 10:00 am with Reverend Mark Nakagawa officiating. Following the service, interment will be held at Inglewood Park Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
