Private memorial services for the late Masaye Nakashima, beloved mother and grandmother, were held on Friday, May 28 at Fukui Mortuary in Los Angeles. Masaye, who was California-born and raised in Japan, passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2021, in Torrance. She was 88 years old.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Wayne) Limm and Grace (Craig) Acosta; grandchildren, Caroline (Greg Mescall) Acosta, Chelsea Limm, Mark Acosta and Holly (Kevin) Lee; great-granddaughter, Lauryn Lee; she is also survived by her sisters Sadako Kusaka and Keiko Kimura, nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews and relatives in Japan.
