Funeral services for the late Masaomi Jim Mita, 82-year-old, Honolulu, Hawaii born resident of Gardena, who passed away on May 6, 2006 at Little Co. of Mary Hospital in Torrance, will be held on Saturday, May 13, 3:00 P.M. at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 W. 158th St., Gardena, under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane Mita; daughter, Karen N. Tankersley; son, Pastor Jim "Butch" Mita; granddaughter, Dawn M. Tankersley; grandson, Christopher D. Tankersley; great-grandson, Christopher Evyn Delgado; great-granddaughters, Alani M. and Allegra Tankersley; brother, Daniel M. (Sue) Mita; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
