Masao Tomita , age 74, passed away on January 10, 2025; predeceased by his wife Joanne Tomita. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Tomita (Rosalyn); daughter, Jenna Tomita; grandson, Ian Tomita; brother, Mitsuo Tomita (Patricia); and life partner, Sandi Kato. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  He passed peacefully in his home in Hacienda Heights.

Funeral services were held on March 2nd, 2025, at Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple. He will be remembered as a strong and loving family man, who was devoted to his family and many friend groups.
