Obituary
Masao "Mas" Sugino, a 96-year-old Brawley, California-born Kibei-Nisei resident of Mission Viejo and former internee of Poston Relocation Camp during WW2 passed away peacefully on March 23, 2018.
Mas is survived by his beloved wife, Ikuko Sugino; children, Linda (Michael) Shimokaji, Elaine (Douglas) Miyagishima, Nancy Sugino, Joyce (Mark) Matsumura and June (Davy) Nakada; Grandchildren, Jenna and Mackenzie Shimokaji, Bret and Kacey Miyagishima, Mason, Kyle and Konor Matsumura, Sydney and Sean Nakada; brother, Satoshi Sugino. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral Services were held privately at Gardena Buddhist Church, officiated by Rev. John Iwohara.
