Funeral service for MASAO AWAKUNI, 87, a Maui born Nisei who passed away on June 17 in Gardena, will be held on June 30, Saturday, 11AM at the Faith United Methodist Church, 2115 West 182nd St., Torrance. Casual attire requested.

Masao, who is predeceased by his daughter Sharon Awakuni is survived by his wife, Teruko Dorothy; sons, Steven (Sharon) and Ken; daughter, Donna Awakuni; grandchildren, Sydney and Nicholas; brother, Sho (Hiroko) Awakuni of Japan; sister, Ellen Awakuni of Las Vegas and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces.
