Margaret Masako Tengan, passed away at her home in Arcadia, Calif. on March 14, 2013 at the age of 80. She was cutting roses in her garden. She was born in Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii on July 22, 1932. After graduating from Kauai High School, Margaret went on to earn her LVN Nursing Credentials in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her nursing career took her to Dallas, Texas and Spokane, Washington. She completed her career at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Arcadia, Calif.

Margaret enjoyed traveling through Europe, South America and sightseeing across America. Her interests included family, gardening, reading and the Bible.

Margaret was predeceased by sisters: Alice, Gladys, Betty; and, brothers: Fred and Katsutaro. Margaret is survived by her brother James, and many nieces and nephews.

Service of remembrance will be held at the Borthwick Mortuary, Maunakea Chapel, 1330 Maunakea Street, Honolulu, HI 96817 (808-522-5200) on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 11:30 AM followed by the burial at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Los Angeles Mission and The Salvation Army.
