Private funeral services for the late Mrs. Masako Mizunoue, an 86 year old, California-born Nisei and long-time resident of Los Angeles who passed away unexpectedly on February 11 were held at Higashi Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, officiated by Rinban Noriaki Ito.

Mrs. Mizunoue is survived by her children, Valerie (Fred) Sumi, Sandra (Russell) Okinaka, and Teena (Douglas) Suzuki; grandchildren, Tritia and Ryan Sumi, Robyn Suzuki, Leslie Okinaka and Katy Suzuki; siblings, Haruye (Masaharu) Nagata and Takeo Nishihara; brother-in-law, Alfred (Miyoko) Mizunoue. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
