Memorial service for the late Mary Shizuru, 86-year-old, Idaho born, resident of Los Angeles, who passed away on March 11, 2017 at Providence St. John's Medical Center, will be held on April 5, 11:00 a.m. at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 W. 158th Street in Gardena.

Mary spent many years of her life serving her customers with love at the Holiday Bowl Coffee Shop and later at Tak's Coffee Shop in Crenshaw Square.

Predeceased by her husband, Gump Shizuru, and daughter, Nancy Tamura; she is survived by her sons, Tak (Marlene) Kikuchi and Dennis (Tina) Kikuchi; son-in-law, Jim Tamura; grandchildren, Dale Tamura, Kim (Matt) Beard, Jessie (Brent Mori) Kikuchi, Jamie Kikuchi, Nikki (Mike) Ueda, Tommy (Carly) Stibbie, and Damian (Cynthia) Stibbie; great-grandchildren, Joey and Mason Beard; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
