Obituary
Mary Hisako Ikebasu, 94 year-old, Garden Grove born Nisei resident of Tarzana passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 10, 2011. Private services were held on Sunday, January 16, 2011.
She is survived by her loving son, Marc (Judith) Ikebasu of Idaho; granddaughter, Kimiko (Cordy) Rost of Idaho; long life companion, Bob Tronolone; great-grandchildren, Cole, Ronin and Zoey Rost all of Idaho; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harry Shigeru Ikebasu, brother, Harry Fujino, and sisters Frances Fujino and Alice Nakazawa.
Mary enjoyed a long and fruitful life playing the Koto and Shamisen. She graduated George Washington High School in 1935. Worked for Hughes Aircraft in the 1960's and 70's. Was a mainstay at the Kasuya Kai family gatherings; and thoroughly enjoyed social occasions with family and friends. She will forever remain in our thoughts and hearts.
