MARIA HWAY IEN TAN, 71, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her residence in Claremont, CA on May 24, 2021. A Blessing Ceremony officiated by Fr. Kannis will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 beginning at 10:00AM, with blessing at 11:00AM, at the Fukui Mortuary (707 E Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012). A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 10:00AM, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels (555 W Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012).

Maria is survived by her husband, Dr. Tony Yok Tjhing; children, Michael (Jessica) Tan, Michelle (Johnny) Hilman, and Dr. Matthew (Fiancée Diana) Tan; grandchildren, Ethan & Eliana Hilman, and Jolina & Jameson Tan.
