Obituary

Margie Ginoza was born January 18, 1937, in Hawthorne, CA to parents, Sentaro and Kamato Ginoza who were strawberry farmers in Los Angeles.  Growing up in the East Los Angeles area, she attended Evergreen Baptist Church with her parents and siblings. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1955 and attended Cal State Los Angeles, where she received her bachelor's degree and became an elementary school teacher.  She taught in the Los Angeles and the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School Districts. She lived in Brea for the last forty-plus years of her life.

She was an active member of the Fullerton Free Evangelical Church where she enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher and volunteered for various activities. In 1999 she was blessed with the opportunity to be baptized for the second time in the Jordan River, Israel. She enjoyed doing sewing projects and being around her nephews and nieces.

Margie was admitted to St Jude Medical Center in Fullerton on Saturday, January 28, where she was diagnosed with pneumonia. She passed away peacefully on February 1. She was 86.

Margie is survived by her sister, Kathryn Ginoza and her two brothers, Harry and Tom Ginoza and many nieces and nephews
