Lewis Abe was born in Los Angeles on March 16, 1922 to Tsuruhiko and Shigeko Abe.

He attended UCLA and UC Berkeley until the war broke out. While interned at Heart Mountain, WY he was drafted and served in the US Army. Post –war he helped his father establish Abe Nursery in Gardena. In 1964 he relocated the business to Carpinteria. He pursued many interests over the years but, most of all, enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents and siblings, Frances (George Iwakoshi), Victor, Florence (Hiro Morimizu) and Ben.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 65 years, Deana, children, Lisa (Bill) Yee, Nora (Wayne) Shen, Robert and Richard, grandsons, Derek, Philip, Jeff and Colin, sisters-in-law, Esther and Evelyn, and many nieces and nephews. We will celebrate Lew's Life on January 21, 2017 at 11:00 A. M. at Camarillo United Methodist Church, 291 Anacapa Drive, Camarillo.
