Obituary
Laurence Iwao Yamagata, 85, Kingsburg, CA born Nisei, resident of Los Angeles, passed away peacefully on November 20 at his home.
He is survived by his loving family: wife, Diane; daughter, Lauren; sister Mary (Joe) Sumida; nephews Dale and Ronald Sumida and other relatives.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 29, 11:00 AM at West Los Angeles United Methodist Church, 1913 Purdue Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90025 (310) 479-1379, with Rev. Gary Oba officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to West Los Angeles United Methodist Church or to Heifer Project International www.heifer.org, a charity he supported and participated in as a young adult.
