Laura Haruko Kaku, 79-year-old, Hawaii born resident of Torrance passed away on June 18, 2018 at City of Hope National Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Milton Uehara and sister, Carol Kato.  She is survived by her husband, Herbert Kaku; daughter, Jeri (Chester) Ritchie; son, Douglas Kaku; granddaughters, Brooke and Jenna Ritchie; sisters, Aileen Kuboyama, Thelma Okino and Stella Uehara; brother, Grant Uehara; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Faith United Methodist Church, 2115 W. 182 ^nd St., Torrance, CA.
The family requests that flowers please be omitted.  Casual attire is welcome.
