Private family services for the late Kusuo Matsumoto, 91-year-old, California born, resident of Monterey Park, who passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, were held at Fukui Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Kent Kawai of Jodoin Buddhist Temple officiating.

He is survived by his loving family; sisters, Kazuko Matsumoto, Hisako Matsumoto, Shinobu Koda, and Haruko Okuno of Japan; brother, Sumio (Rosie) Matsumoto; he is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives here and in Japan.
