Private memorial services for the late Kunio Shintaku, 80-year-old resident of Arcadia, who passed away on December 1, 2007, were held on Monday, December 10 at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.

He is survived by his children, Gary N. Shintaku, Janet (John) Martin, and Norman (Kristi) Shintaku; grandchildren, Casey, Kayley and McKenzie Martin, and Nicole, Kelli and Natalie Shintaku; siblings, Hisako Furumasu, Kikuo (Kiyomi) Shintaku, Toshi Shintaku, Hideko (Minoru) Shigezane, and Itsushi (Beverly) Shintaku; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
