Kumi was a lively 80 year-old tennis and pickleball player, bowler, and occasional Mah jongg player.  She was a vibrant member of the San Gabriel Valley and Marine League tennis community and had an infectious personality with many friends throughout Southern California.  She was also an excellent cook and loved to work with new recipes and make food for friends and family.

Kumi was predeceased by her brother Kaz, her sister May, and nephew Corby.  She is survived by her sister Kimi, nephews Kahn and Garrick, and nieces Nami and Coco.

Kumi was an avid dog- and animal-lover and donations can be made in her memory at the Best Friends link below.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
