Private services for the late Mrs. Kumie Oka, 87 year-old, resident of Monterey Park who passed away peacefully on October 28 ^th were held on November 10, 2016 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rev. Dave Fukuyama of Mission Valley Free Methodist Church officiating.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Hiromu Oka and son, Michael Oka. She is survived by her loving family; sons, Cliff and Phillip (Edie) Oka; daughter, Jane (Donald) Oka-Cline; grandchildren, Margo, Paige, Gregory, John, Phillip Jr. and James Oka, Scott and Matthew Cline; sister, Yaeko Asari of Japan; and daughter-in-law Vivian Oka; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
