Obituary

Kiyoto Kay Takata (94), Redondo Beach-born resident of Arleta, passed away peacefully at his home on August 25, 2017.  He spent time at various internment camps during World War II, and was a long-time professional gardener in the San Fernando Valley.  Predeceased by sisters Toshie Yoshioka, Satomi Harada, and Hideko Yamamoto, he is survived by his beloved wife Masako Takata, son Howard (Tanna) Takata, daughter Carol (Jodi) Komesu, grandchildren Reese and Kelo Komesu, and Ruby and Ryan Takata, brothers Haruto Takata and Isamu Takata, sister Yaeko Mochizuki, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  Funeral services were held privately on September 15 at Fukui Mortuary Chapel in the Garden.
