In Loving Memory Kimiko Inouye Nomura

February 7, 1926 ~ July 12, 2025

Kimiko Inouye Nomura, 99 years, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. A private celebration of life was held on August 2. Born in San Jose, California, Kimiko was raised on a small farm in Mountain View with her three older brothers until 1942. Her life was reshaped when her family was incarcerated—first at the Santa Anita Racetrack, then at Heart Mountain, Wyoming—where she met Tamotsu "Babe" Nomura. They married in 1949 in Los Angeles and settled there to raise their family. Kim was an avid reader, world traveler, and devoted student of Ikebana. She embraced technology into her 90s, mastering email and Zoom. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Babe. She is survived by her son, Jon (Kathy) Nomura; daughter, Janet (Jack) Morey; and many family and friends across the Nisei to Gosei generations. Kim leaves a legacy of love, family, quiet strength, and resilience.
