MRS. KIMIE KAWANISHI, 91, Auburn, WA born Nisei, resident of Seal Beach passed away peacefully on January 25, 2017.

She is survived by her loving family; husband, Richard Masaji Kawanishi; sons, David and Stan Kawanishi; daughter, Polly Leech; grandchildren, William, Richard, Carly and Kenny; great-granddaughter, Sarah; sister, Katsuko Nomi; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Ben Yanagimoto and sister, Kazuko Ibara.

Private family funeral services were held on Saturday, February 18, at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rimban William Briones of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.
