Kimi Kawamura, a 104-year-old Los Angeles born Kibei-Nisei resident of Gardena and a long time Minyo & Dance Instructor passed away peacefully on January 17, 2017. Predeceased by her husband, Urataro Arayama and her daughter, Koharu Arayama. Kimi is survived by her children, Chisato (Ikuo) Sanwo and Mitsuhiro (Hisae) Arayama; grandchildren Christine (James) Maxwell, Margery (Stephen Lin) Sanwo, Hiroe and Kota Arayama; great-grandchildren Julia (Daniel) Eastwood, Hallie Maxwell and Justin Lin. Also survived by many other relatives, both here and in Japan.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Chapel (formerly known as "Maryknoll Japanese Catholic Center) 222 S. Hewitt St., Los Angeles, CA 90012.
