Funeral services for the late Mrs. Kimi Shibata Fukuda, 78 years-old, Japan born resident of City of Orange who passed away peacefully on December 4, 2018 will be held on Saturday, December 15, 11:00 AM at Rissho Kosei Kai Buddhist Church, 2707 E. First St., Los Angeles, 90033.

Kimi loved being Jim's devoted wife and companion for over 57 years. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, sharing her homemade teriyaki sauce with everyone (a secret recipe), and being dedicated to her church community.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Akemi Fukuda; and she is survived by her loving family; husband, Jim Fukuda; children, Kay (Brent) Yamasaki, Kevin (Nirmal Merchant) Fukuda, Kenny (Jeanette) Fukuda and Kris (Susan) Fukuda; grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan and Emi Yamasaki, Maddy, Trevor and Miles Fukuda; sister-in-law, Chie Shibata of Japan; also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
