Obituary

HIROHAMA, Kent Taro (40)

Beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on February 4, 2006 in Fountain Valley, after a valiant 14-month battle with colon cancer.

Kent is survived by his mother Lilyan Hirohama of Santa Ana, sister Janis Hirohama (James Pollard) of Manhattan Beach, and brother David Hirohama (Joycelyn Caparas) of Glendora. He is also survived by his aunts Pauline (Herb) Hayakawa and Alice Kawasugi, and many cousins and other relatives. He will be missed by his canine companion, Kiki-girl, who always had a wagging tale to tell him. Kent was preceded in death by his father Torao Hirohama.

Kent will be missed by his friends and students in the Daion Taiko group at the Orange County Buddhist Church, his family of co-workers at Propaganda Global Entertainment Marketing, and his many friends and co-workers at The Groundlings Theatre. We thank all of the friends, co-workers, family members, and medical care providers who gave him love and support during the past year.

We will always remember Kent's gentle nature, large heart, wonderful sense of humor, and love of music. He was a remarkable human being who lived a full life in his short 40 years on earth.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 11 at 1 p.m. at the Orange County Buddhist Church, 909 S. Dale Ave., Anaheim. The family requests that flowers please be omitted.
