October 26, 1951 – December 27, 2020
Born in L.A. to parents Ben Buichi & Chiyoko Watanabe. He was the youngest of 1 sister (Kiyoko), and 5 brothers (Kenji, Toshio, Takeshi, Eiji, & Teruo).
He attended local schools, including Japanese school, and graduated from Dorsey High. He joined Koyasan Boy Scouts, & was 1 of 4 brothers to achieve the honor of Eagle Scout. He also participated in Drum Bugle Corp, bowling leagues, Creel Buster Fishing Club. And enjoyed going to Vegas, playing poker with his Tanomoshi friends, watching football & the Dodgers on TV, attending his children's & grandchildren's sporting events, eating Ramen & drinking Diet Pepsi.
He worked as a Warehouse Manager at Universal Furniture in Whittier, where he met his wife Janet. They married on March 28, 1987 & bought their 1st home in La Verne the following year, where they raised their family. They later moved to Fontana, where he spent the last 6 years working as a driver for Enterprise.
He dearly loved his entire family. And enjoyed treating them with his famous chocolate chip cookies, and his guacamole.
Kenneth passed away on December 27, 2020 due to complications of Covid. He is survived by his wife Janet, daughter Kimberly, sons Corey & Daniel, & granddaughters Sydney & Kylie. Also survived by brothers Takeshi (Kazu deceased), Eiji (Yuri), & Teruo (Karen), and sister Kiyoko (Yasuo Paul) Yanagisawa.
