Keiji Ushiro of Monterey Park, California was born in Wailuku, Maui, HI and at the age of 82 passed away peacefully with wife and daughter by his side on September 17, 2017.

He is survived by his beloved Ohana, including devoted wife, Irene S. Ushiro; loving daughter, Tanya (Eric) Watanabe; caring sister, Setsuyo Munemitsu; as well as multiple generations of nieces, nephews and other relatives on the mainland and in Hawaii.

Always a handyman, he had a strong sense of duty to always work hard and be useful.  Keiji will always be remembered as a kind, funny, creative, and generous person.

A private funeral service was held on October 1, at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rev. Kazuaki Nakata from Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.
