Family services for the late Kazuo Chiya, 80-year-old Kochi-Shi, Kochi-Ken, Japan-born resident of Los Angeles who passed away on November 17 at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, were held on November 21 at Fukui Mortuary Chapel with Rinban Noriaki Ito of Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Shigeko; sons, Hideo (Sachi) Chiya of Vancouver and Masashi Chiya ; daughters, Mineko (Toshinori) Yoshimoto of Japan and Mari (Jiro) Robinson; grandchildren, Masumi, Hana, Risa and Jun Chiya; and other relatives.
