Private funeral services for the late Mrs. Kazuko Nasu Wada, a 98-year old, Watsonville, California-born, longtime resident of Los Angeles who passed away on June 22, 2013 were held at Venice-Santa Monica Free Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Jim Miyabe.

Beloved mother of Yoshiko (Steven) Shimasaki; devoted grandmother of Janice Rumi and Alan Kazuhiko (Sayuri) Shimasaki; loving great-grandmother of Caleb Gailen and Joel Megumu Shimasaki; sister of Mieko Nasu of Illinois, Kiyoshi (Kazuko) Nasu of New York, and Yuko Nasu, also of Illinois; cousin of Aiko Onishi of Palo Alto; aunt of Takashi (Tomoko) Unno of Japan, and Mariko (Tom) Conway of New York. Also survived by many other relatives, both here and in Japan.
