Kazue - Ouchi's Obituary

Kazue Ouchi, 86 years-old, born and raised in Tokyo, recently from Arcadia, Calif. and formerly of New York, Washington, D.C., La Jolla, Calif., and Honolulu, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014, from natural causes. A memorial service was held at Fukui Mortuary in Los Angeles. Ms. Ouchi was also known as the actress Mariko Niki, who was the leading lady for the Broadway play, Teahouse of the August Moon, which won the Tony Award in 1953. She was a lover of the arts, travel, history and family. She was the loving mother of Robert Dekle, mother-in-law of Karen Levine and grandmother of James and Charlotte Dekle.
