Memorial Services for the late Mr. Kay Watanabe, an 87-year-old, Tacoma, Washington-born Nisei resident of Los Angeles, former internee of Tule Lake Relocation Camp, proud veteran who honorably served his country in the United States Army and former Santa Monica City Treasurer who passed away on April 30 will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011, 10:30 AM at Venice Santa Monica Free Methodist Church, 4871 Centinela Ave., Los Angeles, CA, officiated by Pastor James Miyabe.

Additional parking will be available at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12448 Braddock Dr., Los Angeles, CA.

Mr. Watanabe was predeceased by his beloved wife, Toshi. He is survived by his son, Pastor David (Cheryl) Watanabe; grandchildren, Samantha and Michael Watanabe; siblings, Eay (Ida) Watanabe and Aiko Kadowaki. Also survived by many other family members.
