Kay Kazue Masamitsu, nee Kishimoto, passed away at the age of 97 on May 1, 2020.

She was born on June 2, 1922, in Colorado, married William Masamitsu in Washington, D.C., raised four children in Chicago and resided in Los Angeles. She enjoyed watching Dodgers games, working on puzzles and traveling, including trips to Las Vegas where she celebrated her birthday every year with family.

Kay is preceded in death by husband William Masamitsu, son Kenneth Masamitsu and great-grandson Ian Miller. She is survived by son Thomas (Susan) Masamitsu and daughters Kathryn and Frances Masamitsu; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Masamitsu; brother Sammy (Chiyeko) Kishimoto; grandchildren Heather (Ken) Masamitsu, Cynthia (Garron) Tsushima, Stephanie (Donald) Welke, Allison (Brian) Hata, and Jason Hata; great-grandchildren Nolan and Noelle Tsushima, Lucas and Audrey Miller, Riley Kay Hata, and Peter Welke; and many extended family members.
