Private family memorial services for Kay Kazumi Hiramatsu, 79-year-old, who passed away peacefully on September 6, 2006 at her home in Anaheim, California, surrounded by her family, were held on September 23, 2006 at Orange County Buddhist Church.
Born in Compton on January 27, 1927, she lived life to the fullest. She was greatly loved and will be forever remembered and missed dearly.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Tom Shuichi Hiramatsu; sons, Steve (Elena) and Kenny (Laura) Hiramatsu of Oregon; daughters, Julie (Nolan) Matsumoto and Jayne (Randy) Kameshige both of Oregon; grandchildren, Brent, Cole and Kara Hiramatsu, Erica (Matt Oxnam), Sara, Danielle and Kendra Hiramatsu, Jennifer and Nicholas Matsumoto, and Brady and Michelle Kameshige, the latter 8 of Oregon; great-grandchild, Madilyn Oxnam of Oregon; sister, Yasuko Yagami; brothers, Henry (Kimi) and Chalo (Alice) Uyekawa; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
